Q. What is Botox?
A. Botox is a protein derivative, which when injected into a muscle makes it inactive or weak.

Q. How does it work?

Occasionally, temporary drooping of eyelid may occur. Please consult your GP or us as soon as possible if that happens. If you are pregnant or breast feeding mother, this treatment is not recommended.

A. It takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour in average. After application of topical local anaesthetics, dermafillers are injected at specific sites.

Q. Does Dermafiller treatment hurt?
A. Topical anaesthetic is applied just prior to the treatment to minimize discomfort.

Q. Are there any side effects?
A. There may be some redness, swelling, bruising, itching and discomfort after the procedure, though most of the side effects are temporary and usually resolve quickly.

A. After cleaning the skin, a controlled stream of tiny crystals is applied with a handheld device, which loosens the superficial dead skin cells and vacuums them away. This reveals the healthier looking new skin.

Q. What are the risks?
A. Side effects are essentially rare and may include mild redness and flushing.

Q. What is a Dermaroller treatment?
A. A Dermaroller is a sterile single use medical device, which uses thousands of microneedles to create micropores on the skin. These holes close within few hours and stimulate repair and regeneration to create fresh, smooth and healthier looking skin.

Q. What are the uses?
A. It can be used for acne scars, sun damaged skin, facial and decollegeate lines, wrinkles and stretch marks.

What is Soft Surgery treatment?

Soft Surgery treatment is a non-invasive bloodless, reliable, easy to implement and safe procedure. Due to this innovative technique it is now possible to obtain the same results as you would with traditional surgery, without the need of injectable anaesthesia, without scarring and without unnecessary risks.

How does the Plexr work?

This innovative technology utilises plasma – formed through ionization of atmospheric gasses – to stimulate instant contraction and tightening of skin fibres. This technology does not use scalpel or laser to remove excess skin. This procedure avoids many of the risks associated with traditional intervention, providing a quick and easy recovery. The treatment is performed without cutting or need of stitches.

Your consultation

All prospective patients will have a face-to-face complimentary consultation with us before making an appointment to undergo this procedure. During the consultation we will analyse your tissues and explain the range of treatment options available.

How is the Plexr treatment performed?

The treatment is performed through dots made with the Plexr device at 500 microns apart to stimulate instant contraction and tightening of the skin fibres. Each of these dots sublimates (which means to change a substance from a solid into a gas) the superficial skin cells without affecting an important deeper layer known as the basal lamina, without causing bleeding and more importantly without damaging surrounding tissue.

During the Plexr treatment

A standard session lasts 20 to 30 minutes depending on the area. Patients are required to attend the appointment 30 minutes prior to the actual treatment to have topical numbing cream applied to the area to be treated to minimize the risk of discomfort during the procedure

After the treatment

Immediately after the treatment the treated area(s) will be quite red and mildly swollen. Patients may experience some swelling and mild discomfort in the treated area following their treatment and this may last up to 3 days. At the site of each dot of treatment a carbon crust immediately forms. These crusts should not be touched for 5-7 days except to camouflage them with oxygenating post-procedure foundation. We recommend Oxygenetix for this purpose.

How do I maximise the effects of Plexr treatment?

At the site of each dot of treatment a carbon crust immediately forms. These crusts should not be touched for 5-7 days except to camouflage them with post-procedure foundation.

• Avoid applying moisturising creams until the carbon crusts have fallen off, usually after 5-7 days.

Be extra cautious not to rub off the carbon crusts for the first 5-7 days.

• Avoid all direct sources of heat i.e. Sun, UV radiation and saunas for 4 weeks.

What are the side effects?

Immediately after the treatment the treated area will be quite red and mildly swollen. Any scabs will fall off after 3-5 days and carbon crusts fall off after 5-7 days. These can be camouflaged with post-procedure foundation. Unusual side effects include infection, scarring and temporary changes in skin pigmentation. The likelihood of these side effects is minimized by adherence to the aftercare advice given when the treatment is performed.

What can I expect to see after my first treatment and how long will it take for me to start noticing the effects?

Most people see noticeable result after the first treatment, although this gradually improves over the course of the following 2-4 weeks. Some patients may require more than one treatment and this is subject to your personal expectation.

How long will the effect of the treatment last?

The treatment stimulates instant shortening of skin fibres and this process continues to take effect in the first 2-4 weeks. The effect of the treatment is subject to the number of treatments, your lifestyle and ageing process and typically lasts for the same amount of time as traditional surgery such as surgical blepharoplasty. You will age as you would otherwise and your skin will continue to relax as part of the ageing process.

How many treatments are required?

The number of treatments will vary according to the desired degree of correction and individual’s physiological response to the treatment. After the results gained in the following 2-4 weeks, some patients may require further treatment to achieve optimal results, which should be carried out at 6-8 weekly intervals.

Is Plexr safe?

Plexr is very safe with full European CE approval. About 3200 Plexr devices have been sold worldwide. Only doctors who have received specialized training are authorized to perform treatments with the Plexr.

What is Cryotherapy?

CryoPenTM is an advanced cryotherapy innovation that is fast effective, safe and new solution for removal of skin imperfections. Procedures typically last 5 to 30 seconds, so you can be in and out in a matter of minutes.

The CryoPenTM emits fine jet of Nitrous Oxide under high pressure, which allows the us to work with millimeter precision. This destroys the tissue by freezing inter-cellular fluid, forming ice crystals, which rupture the cell membrane, thereby destroying the cell. There is no collateral damage to healthy tissue. This is incredibly accurate and practical.

What all can be treated?

We can treat Skin tags, Solar lentigo, Age spots, Milia, Cherry Angiomas, abnormal Pigmentation on the flat of the skin, Warts and Verrucae.

How it works?

First cycle – freezeThe applicator is held close to the skin. This could take 1-30 seconds, depending upon the size and depth.

ThawAfter the first freeze cycle, the tissue is allowed to thaw for about 30 seconds.

Second cycle – freezeIn the 2nd cycle the tissue will freeze faster than during the first freezing cycle.

What are the side effects?

Cryotherapy is a relatively low risk procedure. The following side effects may occur:

Pigmentary changes (hypo or hyperpigmentation) – skin colour normally returns to normal after few weeks.

Nerve damage (particularly in areas where nerves lie close to the surface of the surface of the skin, on fingers, wrist, areas behind the ears) – normal sensitivity returns after a few months

Shards of frozen ice (minor shards of frozen ice might blow out, that will thaw on contact with healthy skin.

Hair follicle damage and permanent alopecia (especially when treating area on sites with coarse terminal hair

How long is the treatment?

The duration will depend upon the surface area and the thickness of the tissue being treated. After clinical evaluation of the depth of the lesion, we would be able to ascertain the application time from 1-30 seconds.

How safe is cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy is a relatively low risk procedure. CryoPenTM delivers nitrous oxide precisely to the area, hence avoiding collateral damage to the surrounding healthy tissue. CryoPenTM is both CE and FDA approved

Is the treatment painful?

You would experience pain sensation similar to a stinging nettle on the skin when the nitrous oxide reaches the bottom of the area. This sensation may continue for a few minutes after the treatment.
